Description

Lace up your boots and step foot on the most iconic trail in the United States. Learn about the history of the Appalachian Trail, key proponents of the Trail’s early days, and its modern day heroes. Your hike guides are members of Keystone Trails Association and thru-hikers that have trekked the entire way from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Kathadin, Maine.  

Make a weekend of it!  These hikes coincide with Foundry Day Arts and Crafts in Boiling Springs on June 6 and the 49th Carlisle Summer Fair running from June 26- July 5. Register for one, or both, hikes!

Micro-Thru Hike
9am-2pm, Saturday, June 6 | 10.5 miles

  • Linear hike heads south from the Scott Farm, located at: 301 Bernheisel Bridge Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015
  • Ends at Foundry Day Festival in Boiling Springs.  Explore the festival for an hour before dining at a local restaurant.  The restaurant details will be shared closer to the hike.  
  • Shuttle provided back to Scott Farm immediately after the hike and for those staying for lunch
  • $15 adults; $8 youth ages 18 and younger
  • Refunds can not be issued after June 1

Scott Farm & Appalachian Trail History Hike
9am- noon Saturday, June 27 | 6 miles

  • Out-and-back hike heads north from the Scott Farm, located at: 301 Bernheisel Bridge Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015
  • Coincides with 49th Carisle Summer Fair
  • $15 adults; $8 youth ages 18 and younger
  • Refunds can not be issued after June 22
